Statement of Policy:

Temple Beth Ora congregation understands the Jewish wedding  ceremony and the process of preparing for marriage as an opportunity  for couples to deepen and enrich their lives together through a  meaningful Jewish experience informed by Jewish principles and  traditions.

The decision to be married by the Rabbi of Temple Beth Ora entails the following:

  1. The Rabbi of Temple Beth Ora may perform a wedding for any couple, conditional upon the couple completing a series of pre-marriage counselling sessions.
  2. For weddings between a Jewish and non-Jewish partner, the couple is expected to commit to a full introductory course on Judaism.
  3. The couple is encouraged to join Temple Beth Ora or choose to pay an equivalent fee as set by the Congregation.
