Request a Prayer It is Jewish tradition that when someone is ill, we say a “misheberach” for him or her. The prayer takes its name from the first two words: “mi" and "sheberach” meaning, “the One who blessed.”

Simply put, a Misheberach is a prayer for the sick. The prayer is for the physical cure as well as spiritual healing, asking for blessing, compassion, restoration, and strength, within the community of those facing illness.

For those who are unable to make it to a synagogue for services, we offer a way to help you express your wishes for good health and a speedy recovery to your friends and relatives.
